What is Nia?
Nia is considered a mind body excercise. It combines movements and principles from dance, martial arts and healing arts set to upliftling music. Its a celebration of the joy of movement and ourselves. No dance background is necessary and it is appropraite for people at all levels of physical activity. Nia emphasizes moving according to you own body’s way in a welcoming and supportive environment. It is done in loose fitting clothing and bare feet.
