Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind. When we practise well we are able to observe an inner peace and stillness dawning. This stillness is the beginning of meditation. Meditation is the merging of the individual with infinity. Meditation is complete absorption into the source of our being. It has been said that 20 minutes of deep meditation is equal to 4 hours of deep sleep. Sounds like a great time saver to me.

With the hectic pace and demands of modern life, many people feel stressed and over-worked. It often feels like there is just not enough time in the day to get everything done. But meditation actually gives you more time by making your mind calmer and more focused. Meditation can also help us to understand our own mind.
